Accessibility Statement
At OctoCoach we are committed to providing an equal and accessible service to all users, including people with disabilities. This statement describes the current accessibility status of the service, known limitations, and how to contact us about accessibility.
1. Scope and Legal Framework
This statement covers the OctoCoach service at octocoach.app, including the informational website and the application (PWA). We work to make the service accessible in accordance with the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law (1998), the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations (2013), and Israeli Standard IS 5568 at level AA (based on the WCAG 2.0 guidelines).
2. What Is Accessible Today
The service supports Hebrew (including full right-to-left layout) and English, with correct language and direction attributes for screen readers. Images carry alternative text (alt). The interface is keyboard navigable with a visible focus indicator and a 'skip to main content' link. The standard body and secondary text styles meet the required contrast ratios (at least 4.5:1 for normal text). The application honors the system reduced-motion preference (prefers-reduced-motion). The informational website includes an accessibility widget for enlarging text, increasing contrast, and stopping animations. Content can also be enlarged using browser and device settings.
3. Known Limitations and Ongoing Improvements
We are aware that parts of the service are not yet fully accessible: the graphical hand replayer presents visual information that is not yet fully conveyed to screen readers, and some views are built from complex graphical components. Some brand-colored buttons, accent-colored text, and minor labels do not yet reach the full 4.5:1 contrast ratio. Google sign-in screens are provided by a third party and are outside our control. We continue to improve accessibility, and this statement will be updated as further improvements land.
4. Small Business Relief and Alternative Arrangements
OctoCoach is a small business whose average annual turnover is below the threshold set in Regulation 35 of the Israeli Service Accessibility Regulations, and therefore certain reliefs apply to its web accessibility obligations. Nevertheless, we continue to improve the accessibility of the service beyond what is required. As an alternative arrangement, any user who needs assistance performing any action in the service is welcome to contact the accessibility coordinator, and we will gladly assist personally, including providing information in an accessible format.
5. Accessibility Coordinator and Contact
OctoCoach accessibility coordinator: Shachar Zvang, email: accessibility@octocoach.app. You can reach out with any question, request for assistance, or report of an accessibility issue. To help us handle your request efficiently, please describe the issue, the page or screen where you encountered it, and the assistive technology you use (if relevant). We aim to respond within a few business days.
6. Statement Updates
This statement was published and last updated on 14.07.2026. We review and update it on an ongoing basis, and at least once a year or upon any material change to the service.
