What you get, and what you actually pay for
OctoCoach has two plans. Free is a complete poker journal you can keep using forever. Pro adds the part that needs AI, which is the coach itself.
The free plan is not a trial
Plenty of apps call a countdown "free" and then lock your own history behind a paywall. Free here is a permanent tier. Session logging, hand logging, opponent notes, mood and energy check-ins, history and statistics, and bankroll tracking stay available with no time limit and no card on file. If you never want the AI coach, you never have to pay.
What Pro adds
Pro is $12 a month, or $96 a year, which works out to $8 a month. It unlocks the coaching layer: a chat coach that knows your sessions and your tilt history, AI analysis of specific hands, psychological profiles of the opponents you have logged, mid-session insights that reach you on the break instead of the next morning, the Bankroll Coach with a stake advisor, shot planner, and downswing perspective built from your own numbers, Table Scout for reading a new table, and voice input so you can talk a hand in rather than type it at 2am.
The trial is 7 days and takes no credit card
You start Pro free for seven days without entering payment details. There is no card on file, so nothing can charge you when the week ends. The account moves to the free plan, everything you logged stays, and there is no auto-renewal to remember to cancel.
Currency, billing, and cancelling
The subscription is priced in US dollars and handled by our payment provider. The currency conversion inside the app is a separate thing: bankroll and profit figures convert between shekels, dollars, and euros, so a live player who buys in across three currencies in one trip still sees one honest number. You can cancel any time from Settings, then Subscription.
Which plan fits you
If you mainly want somewhere to record sessions and see the numbers honestly, free is genuinely enough, and we would rather you stay on it than pay for something you do not use. Pro is for players who want the mental game work itself: catching tilt while it is happening, understanding why a session went sideways, and getting a review that is about decisions rather than results.
