Is OctoCoach a gambling app?
No. OctoCoach does not host games, take deposits, or involve real money in any way. It is a coaching and session-journaling tool for players who already play elsewhere.
Will it make me a winning player?
No tool can promise that, and you should be suspicious of any that does. OctoCoach helps you make better decisions, stay disciplined, and review your game honestly. What you do with that is up to you.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. OctoCoach is a web app you can install on any phone or desktop straight from the browser, no app store needed.
Does it speak my language?
Hebrew and English, fully. The AI coach answers in whichever language your interface is set to.
What happens to my data?
It stays yours. Opponent data is pseudonymized before AI processing, and you can export or delete everything from Settings at any time.
How do I cancel?
Anytime, from Settings then Subscription. The trial requires no credit card, so there is nothing to forget to cancel.

What is tilt, and can an app really detect it?
Tilt is a stress response that swaps careful, long-term decisions for fast, ego-driven ones after a trigger like a bad beat or a cooler. An app cannot see your face, but it can read what you write and how the session is going. OctoCoach watches the language in your session log and chat, your mood and energy check-ins, and how the losses are stacking up, then prompts you to run your reset when the pattern matches your own tilt history. The signal you want to catch is a 3 out of 10, not a 9.
How is this different from a poker tracker or a HUD?
A tracker analyzes the technical game: ranges, frequencies, and stats on the players you face. It tells you what the correct play was. OctoCoach works on the layer above that, which is whether you were in a state to make that play at all. It is a mental game coach and a session journal, not a solver and not a HUD. It also follows you to live poker, where trackers cannot go.
Do I have to use my phone while a hand is running?
No, and you should not. OctoCoach is built around the breaks and the debrief, not the moment a decision is live. Log a session in seconds when you sit down, note a hand during a break or by voice afterwards, and do the real review when the session ends. Nothing in the product asks you to be on your phone mid-hand.
Does it work for live poker or only online?
Both, and live is where it earns the most. Live players have no hand history and no tracker, so the session log is the only record that exists. Multi-day tournaments, rebuys, expenses, and buy-ins made in different currencies are all part of the model.
Cash games or tournaments?
Both. Cash sessions track buy-ins, rebuys, and the net result. Tournaments carry their own model with entries, re-entries, multi-day bagging, and a budget for a whole series rather than a single night.
What is Table Scout?
A fast read on the table you just sat down at. You tell the coach who is there, and it pulls together what you have already logged about those opponents plus a read on the ones you have not, so you start the session with a plan instead of forming one three orbits in.
What does the free plan actually include?
A complete poker journal, with no time limit and no card on file: session logging, hand logging, opponent profiles and notes, history and statistics, bankroll tracking, and mood and energy check-ins. The subscription buys the AI coaching layer on top, not access to your own records.
Who is OctoCoach for?
Players who already play regularly and have noticed that their results move more with their state than with their strategy. Newer players get a structured journal and an honest review habit. Experienced players get tilt detection, opponent profiles, and bankroll discipline. It is not a strategy trainer and it will not teach you preflop ranges.
Is there an App Store or Google Play version?
Not for now. OctoCoach is a progressive web app: open it in your browser and use Add to Home Screen from the browser menu, on iPhone, Android, or desktop. You get an icon and a full-screen app without going through a store.
