Hand Polls
- Hand Polls let you crowdsource opinions on a logged hand from friends - no signup needed for voters.
- Create: History → tap a logged hand → Share → '📊 Create poll'. One poll per hand; if one already exists, the share sheet shows 'View existing poll results' instead.
- The wizard lets you pick which streets to ask about (preflop / flop / turn / river). Every decision you made on a selected street becomes a question, including streets where you acted twice (e.g. check, then call) - up to 10 questions per poll. Each question offers default option chips (Fold / Call / Raise / Check / Bet / All-in) or custom options you write yourself.
- Player nickname: the wizard prompts for 'Your poker nickname'. Tick 'Save as default' to have it auto-fill every future poll, or edit anytime under Settings → 'My Polls'.
- Outcome reveal: at creation pick reveal now (voters see the result after voting) or hide for later (you reveal it yourself from Settings).
- Share: the wizard generates a short public URL like octocoach.app/poll/abcd1234. A friend opening the link sees the 'Hand Recap' view with cards, actions, and positions - and answers the questions one by one without signing in.
- WhatsApp / Twitter preview: when sharing the link in an app that supports Open Graph, a custom 1200x630 preview image renders with the hero cards, board, and asker's nickname - not a generic logo. The image is generated server-side and cached 24h.
- Anonymous voting: voters don't need an account. Each browser gets an anonymous voter id in localStorage. Returning to the same URL from the same browser resumes where they left off and doesn't re-ask the same questions.
- Free-text comments: on each question the voter can leave a free-text comment (up to 500 chars) with their feedback. Comments stay private to you, not visible to other voters.
- View results: app → History → Share on the hand → '📊 View existing poll results'. Or via Settings → 'My Polls' → tap the poll row → '💬 Show comments'. You'll see voter count, percentages per option, your hero pick highlighted, and all comments grouped per question.
- Re-share results: 'Share results' button (inside the results view) produces a single PNG image with hand recap + poll results + final outcome (if revealed) + clickable URL caption. Your private comments are NOT included in this image.
- Pseudonymization: real opponent names are masked automatically as 'Villain' / 'Villain 1' / 'Villain 2' in every public surface. Real platform usernames never leak via the poll.
- Management: Settings → 'My Polls' (collapsible section). Each poll shows as a compact row with the hero's hole cards, the board, and the voter count. Tapping the row expands a vote-distribution graph per question (percentages per option, the hero's real answer marked ✓) plus the actions: share link, copy link, open, toggle outcome reveal, comments, and delete.
