Offline mode
- OctoCoach keeps working without signal: casino floors, basements, flights. After you have signed in once on a device, the app opens with no connection and shows your data from the last sync.
- Works offline: Home, History (sessions, analytics, bankroll), Players, starting and ending cash and tournament sessions, stack check-ins, rebuys and re-entries, bounties, tilt episodes, logging hands and notes, trips and scheduled sessions. The stop-loss meter keeps counting from what you log.
- Needs a connection: the coach chat and voice, this guide assistant, hand analysis and reading hands from text or screenshots, AI villain profiles, table scans, sharing hands or sessions, subscriptions and checkout, and deleting your account. Those buttons stay visible; tapping one offline shows 'Needs an internet connection' instead of failing.
- While you are offline, a slim bar at the top says so and shows how many changes are waiting. Everything you do is saved on the device right away and syncs by itself when the connection returns, with a short 'everything is synced' message.
- A session that ends offline skips the coach debrief. When you are back online, a card on Home offers to go over it with the coach. A session in a foreign currency that ended offline gets its exchange rate filled in automatically after it syncs.
- Signing out deletes the offline copy from the device. If some changes have not synced yet, the app warns you first, so when you can, reconnect before signing out.
- The first sign-in on a new device needs a connection. If your account details fail to load even with a connection, a "Your profile hasn't loaded yet" screen retries on its own and offers a Try again button. Some private browsing modes do not keep storage, so offline mode may not be available there.
