Mental Tools & Check-in
- The Mental Readiness Card appears on the Home screen before a session. It asks three quick questions, Sleep, Stress and Focus (Low / Medium / High), and shows a readiness score with advice for the session ahead. It is a quick self-check for the moment: it is not saved to your profile and is not sent to the coach.
- Pre-session mood: when you start a session, pick a mood (⚡ Focused, 🔥 Excited, 😐 Neutral, 🥱 Tired, 😰 Anxious). It affects how the coach talks to you in that session.
- Set your pre-session energy level on a 1-10 slider. The slider shows the zone you are in: Drained, Tired, OK, Sharp, Precise. Below 5 the coach will suggest considering delaying the session.
- Focus is not asked before a session: it appears in the Home readiness card and as a chip in the mid-session check-in.
- Two different scales, and they are easy to confuse: the energy you report before a session is on a 1-10 slider, while every mid-session energy or focus reading is on a 1-5 chip scale. The coach receives both with their exact denominator, so whenever it quotes a number it will say 'out of 5' or 'out of 10'. A pre-session reading is a starting point and is never counted as a 'drop'. The app also works out the relationship between the two for the coach instead of leaving it to guess: a 4 out of 5 check-in is roughly an 8 out of 10, so opening at 7 out of 10 and checking in at 4 out of 5 is a small rise, not a fall. If the coach ever tells you your energy 'dropped from 7 to 4', that sentence is comparing two different scales and is wrong.
- Pre-session intention: when starting a session, there's a 'What do you want to focus on this session?' field. The coach will keep it in mind throughout the session.
- Hourly check-in: during an active session, every full hour the app opens a short check-in ('You're 1h in') with three answers: 'I'm good, focused', 'Let's talk a bit' (opens the coach chat) or 'I'm feeling tilt' (the coach steps in). In a cash session it also offers an optional stack field. When the app is in the background, the same check-in arrives as a notification. There is no separate Check-In button on the session card.
- Mid-session Check-In is especially useful after a downswing. The coach will detect the mood change and offer a corrective action.
- Tilt log button: a quick button on the session card to log a tilt episode. You can add a note about the trigger and an energy level on the 1-5 scale (the same chips as the mid-session check-in). Both fields are optional, so you can log just the moment itself.
- Coach Insight Card on Home: your weekly insight from the coach - one focus to work on or to preserve, based on the new hands recorded since the previous insight, your recent sessions, and the goals raised in your coach conversations. It renews automatically once a week (or from day 5 if 5+ new hands were added), and the ⟳ refresh button renews it immediately. Even in a week with no recorded hands you'll get a weekly pointer tuned to the games you play and your goals.
- Tilt alert (TiltAlert) appears automatically in chat if the AI detects an emotional pattern in your messages. Suggests a break, breathing, or reviewing goals.
- Session mood, energy, mid-session check-ins and tilt episodes are stored in your profile over time. The coach remembers your patterns.
