Referrals
- The referral program lets you invite friends to OctoCoach and earn Pro subscription credit.
- Open Settings → Referrals to see your personal share link.
- 'Share invite link' button: opens the device share sheet with a short message explaining the link gives 50% off the first Pro month, together with your personal link. The 'Copy' button copies the link only.
- When a friend signs up via your link, 'referredBy' is attached to them with your code.
- Your code is attached automatically to every share: sharing a hand replay, session, tournament, poll or live session already carries your referral code in the link, so any organic share credits you without copying a separate link from Settings.
- Every share screen shows a short reminder of the benefit, so you remember that sharing can earn you a free Pro month.
- When a friend you referred upgrades to Pro, the app congratulates you with a message that you earned a free Pro month (the next time you open it).
- Invitee benefit: 50% off their first Pro month. It is applied automatically at checkout on the monthly plan, on the first purchase only, so there is no code to type.
- Inviter benefit: 1 free Pro month per friend who pays, added after the friend is billed for the first time.
- If an invited friend is refunded (for example a cooling-off cancellation), the month already promised to you stays yours. Your next paying referral covers that month instead of adding a new one, and the Referrals screen shows a note about it.
- Cap: up to 10 paid referrals per year.
- Your referral status appears in the Referrals screen: who signed up, who paid, and how many free months you've accrued (including months awaiting activation).
- You can also use a promo code: if you got a code from the app or a marketing campaign, enter it on the checkout page.
