Sessions
- Start a session from the Home screen. Choose game type: Cash, Tournament, or Multi-day.
- Enter buy-in amount and an optional game location.
- Faster starts: the buy-in field has quick-select preset chips (and a + to save your own amounts), just like the stakes chips. On the Home screen, 'Repeat last session' opens the setup already filled in from your most recent session - same stakes, location, buy-in, currency, and stop-loss - so a regular game is one tap plus Start.
- Session stop-loss (optional): when you start, set the most you're willing to put into this session - buy-in plus all rebuys, across every table, in the session currency. The session card shows a warning as you approach it, and before any Re-buy, Re-entry, or new table that would reach it the app pauses you with a confirm so you stop or continue on purpose, it never blocks you. You can change or clear it later from the session edit sheet, and the coach can see your limit too.
- Your limit beats the coach's default: the coach's generic stop-loss guideline (for example, stop after 3 buy-ins in cash) applies only when you have not set anything. Once you set a session stop-loss or a trip budget, the coach coaches to YOUR number and will not argue you back toward the default.
- Trip budget guard: when an active trip's budget is 100% used, starting another session or adding money mid-session (Re-buy, Re-entry, a new table) asks you to confirm once first. Like every guard in the app it never blocks - one tap and you continue, on purpose.
- Known limitation: on day 2+ of a multi-day tournament the session stop-loss meter has nothing new to track (the day itself carries no buy-in), so for multi-day discipline rely on the trip budget, which counts every bullet the moment it is paid.
- Stack check-ins (cash): in live cash the stack is measured in chips, where one chip equals the small blind (at blinds 0.1/0.2 each chip is worth 0.1). When you open a cash session, after you enter the blinds and the buy-in, the app computes and shows your stack size on its own, in big blinds and in chips, with no manual field (a 40 buy-in at 0.1/0.2 is 200BB and 400 chips). In online sessions, with parallel tables at different blinds, or when the blinds are unclear, entry stays in money and the field's wording says so. During a live cash session, tap 'Stack check-in' on the session card (or answer the hourly check-in's stack question) and enter how many chips are in front of you across all open tables; the app converts them to money on its own (chips times the small blind) and shows the money value under the field as you type. Every other display, including the live net and the stack chart, stays in money. The field opens preselected with your last check-in (converted to chips), so typing replaces it in one go. You get a real live net figure and a stack-over-time chart like tournaments have - starting from the moment you sat down, with rebuy markers, also in History - and the bankroll card, trip meter, and coach all move live with it. After a rebuy the net counts the rebuy as lost until your next check-in, so update your stack after rebuying.
- Net-loss stop-loss (cash): when setting a session stop-loss you choose what it measures: money put in (the default) or actual net loss. Net mode uses your stack check-ins; until you log one, the meter and the confirm pauses fall back to money put in.
- Tips & promo: at session end (and in session edit) you can record dealer tips and promo winnings (high hand / jackpot) separately. Your P&L stays the pure poker result; the bankroll reflects the real money (promo added, tips subtracted), and the Analytics tab has a 'Real net' switch to read your stats after tips and including promo.
- Satellites & tickets: mark a tournament as a satellite at setup (with an optional target event name) and record a won ticket at its FACE VALUE when you finish - it counts as winnings, so satellite ROI is honest. When you play the target event, enter its buy-in normally at the ticket's value and tag it 'paid with a ticket': the pair nets out and nothing is double-counted. History gains a Satellites card with tickets won, conversion rate, and satellite ROI. All of this (tips, promo, satellite, freeroll, ticket) is also available retroactively via 'Add Past Session' in History.
- Freerolls: tick 'freeroll' at tournament setup for a free entry. Winnings still count in your bankroll, the time you spent shows in its own Freerolls row in History, and free entries never touch paid-entry ROI.
- Trips (period stop-loss): start a trip from the home screen with a budget and currency before a series or a poker weekend. Every session you start while the trip is active counts toward it, and a meter shows your net loss across the whole trip against the budget (amber as you near it, red when you cross it). Tournament buy-ins and re-entries count against the budget the moment you pay them, including between days of a multi-day event, and settle automatically when the tournament ends. Past trips appear in History: the Sessions tab shows each trip with its budget meter and its sessions, and the Analytics breakdown can group results by trip. Optional trip expenses: the small receipt button on the trip card opens a sheet to log flights, hotel, food, and transport. Expenses stay separate from the stop-loss meter (which tracks poker only) and show as their own total plus a whole-trip figure that combines poker and expenses. End the trip from the home screen when you are done.
- During the session you can add a Re-buy at any time via the Re-buy button.
- Re-entries count as additional buy-ins in the session summary, the invested total, and your P&L - both via the quick re-entry button and a per-table Re-entry in a multi-table session. The buy-in breakdown shows the full bullet count (e.g. Buy-in x 3). There is one recording path at any moment: when a table in the session carries its own Re-entry button (an MTT/SNG table), the quick re-entry button becomes an info-only row pointing you to the table button - so one bullet is never recorded twice by accident. Re-entries already recorded via the quick button stay visible and counted. A table added to a tournament session is created as a tournament table (with a Re-entry button) even when the game is NLH/PLO - you can override this in the add-table form.
- The History session card shows the money you actually put in, not just the opening buy-in: with a uniform re-entry it shows the 'Buy-in x N =' breakdown and the total, and when rebuys or tables with different amounts are involved it adds a 'Total invested' line next to the base buy-in.
- On a multi-day event's History card, the money and the bullet count are read from the day sessions rather than the tournament's own re-entry counter: next to the buy-in you get 'Bullets: N' when every entry cost the same, and a 'Total invested' line when rebuys or uneven amounts are involved. The tournament's P&L is derived the same way, so a re-entry is counted in full - on the card, in the trend chart, in your week/month/year totals, in the drawdown metric, on the share card and text, and in the CSV export. The full JSON file from 'Download my data' carries the correct value too: tournaments settled before this fix are repaired automatically in the background the next time you open Home or History.
- A manual edit always wins: if you edit a multi-day event in History (the pencil button) and save, the numbers you entered are the truth from that moment on. The app stops deriving that event's money from its day sessions, the automatic repair leaves it alone, and every screen, share and export shows what you wrote. That includes the money meters: the bankroll and its graph, the trip meter, the monthly budget meter, the drawdown curve and ROI. A multi-day event counts once there, as one event, not once per day.
- Multi-table tournaments (several online tournaments at once): the invested total counts every table - each table's Buy-in times its entry count - and the live stop-loss meter, trip meter, bankroll and ROI all see the same amount. The tournament stop-loss meter now also counts Re-buys logged on the session, so it always matches the final summary, and the stop-loss confirm pauses you before a per-table Re-entry or a new table too. In a mixed session (a tournament and a cash table at the same time) the meter adds both sides: the tournament's bullets always as money put in, and the cash tables by the stop-loss mode you chose - net loss (after a stack check-in) or money put in.
- End the session by tapping End Session and entering your cash-out amount. For a single-table cash game, if you tap End with the cash-out left blank the app asks you to confirm once, since a blank cash-out records the whole session as a loss - it is meant to catch a forgotten stack, not to block you.
- The end-session sheet has a free-text field for a summary note (how the session went, insights, lessons). The note is saved on the session, shows up in History, and the coach opens the post-session conversation with it.
- Profit/Loss is calculated automatically: Cash-out − (Buy-in + all Re-buys).
- Multi-tabling (online): when starting an online session you can set the 'Number of Tables' (up to 8). You can also add a table mid-session from the 'Tables' section of the session card, and Re-buy/Re-entry or leave each table independently. Every table keeps its own kind: a table you add with the 'Cash' toggle inside a tournament session is a cash game in every respect - it is not turned into a tournament table, its Buy-in does not count toward the tournament's invested money, and its Re-buy button opens an amount field (defaulting to the table's Buy-in) that is recorded on the table itself, never in the tournament's ledger. A tournament table always offers Re-entry, even when its game type is NLH: the entry is recorded on the table, and the general 'Re-entry' button turns into an info row so one bullet is never counted twice. That lets you play an online tournament and a live cash table on the same evening, on different platforms, inside one session. Switching the kind in the 'New table' form resets the blinds and the Buy-in to that kind's defaults (1/2 for cash, 50/100 for a tournament) instead of inheriting the session's level and entry. In a mixed session each table row is labelled 'Tournament' or 'Cash'.
- Finishing a tournament table mid-session: a tournament table gets a 'Busted / finished' button instead of 'Leave' (a cash table keeps 'Leave' with a Cash-out). Enter the final place, ITM places and prize (0 if not ITM), and the result is stored on that table. Once every tournament table is busted, the 'Tournament details' panel (stack update, players, ICM), re-entry and the convert-to-multi-day button disappear and a short notice takes their place, and if the tournament was shared live the share page switches to 'ended' with the result at that moment. You can keep playing the cash tables, and at the end of the evening the end sheet no longer asks about that tournament. In a multi-day event, once every tournament table is busted only 'End session' remains.
- Ending a multi-table session: the end sheet lists every open cash table with its own Cash-out field, no matter how the table was added. A tournament table that is still open gets no Cash-out field - its prize is what you enter in the final placement and prize fields, so a payout is never counted twice. A tournament table already marked 'Busted' shows only its result. Closing the session totals all tables together: total invested is the sum of every table's Buy-in and Re-buys. A Cash-out field left blank counts as 0 (a full loss on that table). A table running in a different currency is converted to the session currency automatically. In a mixed session the money is stored split: the History card shows the tournament result and the cash result separately, and in a multi-day event only the tournament money enters the event's result - a cash table closed at 'End day' is recorded as that day's cash.
- For multi-day tournaments, start each day from the active session screen.
- Live tournament share: in an active tournament, tap 'Share tournament' on the session card. You get a link that anyone you send it to can open to see your current tournament status (stack, BB, players remaining, stack chart). Three privacy presets: Staker (exposes buy-in and prizes), Friends (hides money, shows energy/focus) and Custom, where you switch each field on or off yourself: buy-in, prize, venue, energy, notes, the clock and breaks. The venue/casino location and tournament name are hidden by default in every preset - they are shared only if you explicitly enable the location toggle. When you close the session while the share is active, the shared page immediately shows the final result (final placement, and prize when money fields are exposed). Hand-by-hand data, opponent names, and coach chat are never exposed. The link stays active for up to 7 days, or 24 hours after session end, and you can revoke it manually at any time: from the share sheet during the session, from the session edit sheet after it ends, or from Settings → 'My Shares'. Revoking kills the link immediately for anyone holding it.
- Bounties (KO): in a bounty tournament the session card shows 'Tap to log a KO'. Each knockout adds to your bounty total, which appears in the winnings breakdown and on the live share.
